My ROOTS are in professional conference and event planning. Over 35 years of experience planning hundreds of events, for thousands of attendees, managing millions of details to deliver exceptional experiences. Details matter when planning travel and I am PICKY about them. I expect more when it comes to travel, and so should you.
Your most precious commodity is your time – don’t spend it planning your vacation, spend it enjoying your vacation. I look forward to helping plan your next memorable journey.
Why adult-focused travel?
I love my kids, and I treasure the beautiful chaos of the family vacations we took when they were young, but now that they are young adults, my energy has shifted. As a "mature" adult (though I'm not sure I'll ever act my age) I have entered a new chapter of life.
This chapter is about us as adults - not traveling for work or focused on keeping our children entertained. It’s about exploring the world deeply, prioritizing our own wellness, and savoring incredible food and wine along the way. If you are ready to trade the buffets for chef-curated tasting menus and trading crowded theme parks for romantic cobblestone streets, you are in the right place.
Origin of the name "The Travel Planning Team"
The Travel Planning Team is just me, so why do I call my business "The Travel Planning Team?" In 2016 I started my own conference and meeting planning business and my clients are small staff organizations that don't have a full-time conference planner. It was important to me that they feel that I am a part of their team, so the name "Team Events and Meetings (TEAM) was born. Branching into travel, I still feel that it is important that you know I'm on YOUR team. I don't work for a booking engine, cruise line, or destination, I work for YOU.
The Travel Planning Team is dedicated to continuing education, learning, and being connected to stay knowledgeable, and ready to curate the best journeys.
Sometimes we think of luxuries as something that only the very wealthy have access to. Or a certain type of ticket class, ship or hotel. Honestly, if you asked a hundred people what luxury is, you’d get a hundred different answers. But almost any definition has one throughline: service.
Luxury is someone else taking care of details and preventing problems. It’s knowing there’s an expert out there who can and will be your advocate. And it’s a feeling that is sometimes difficult to put into words: being remembered, looked after, important.
